I am excited about Kendra and Kyle’s September Wedding at Shadelands Ranch Museum in Walnut Creek, CA. Kendra first contacted me in 2009 asking me if she could assist me in client weddings. After two back to back summer weddings that year, she became a regular assistant of mine for a few years. Kendra was so excited to tell me that she was engaged to Kyle last year. I am honored that they chose me to be their wedding coordinator.  They have been a joy to work with. I love their creative ideas for an outdoor wedding and reception. They are great together! 


Below are their joint answers to my 8 questions that I love to ask my clients…



1. How and when did you meet?
We met at work in December 2013. Kyle thought Kendra was very beautiful, so they began to talk every day. Kendra realized that Kyle was one of the funniest people she’d ever met. After spending many long lunches together, they began to date, once Kendra found another job.
2. Describe how he proposed?
Kyle took Kendra to a nice little spot on the beach, and he got down on one knee with a turtle ring box and asked her to marry him.
3. How are you feeling as your wedding is drawing near? How many days left?
Nervous, but happy and excited. We have 67 days to go!

4. What are you most nervous about? 

We are nervous about everything going smoothly on the day of. Kyle is worried that another man might show up and object during the ceremony

5. What are you most excited about?

Getting married and all of the activities we have planned for the day!

6. What vision and/or theme do you have for your wedding day?

Fun for everyone! We have kind of an elegant backyard theme, including lawn games and delicious food trucks. We can’t wait!

7. Why have you hired “Ah…New Beginnings”? What do you like about Arlene?

We wanted to make sure that we could just focus on enjoying our wedding day. It is a relief to know that we won’t have to worry about any of the details that day. Arlene is incredibly thoughtful and organized, which is a perfect combination for a wedding coordinator. You want someone who is going to be mindful of your vision, while ensuring the execution of all the details of that vision.

8. What do you hope to accomplish with “Ah…New Beginnings’ as your wedding coordinator?

We really just want to have someone advocate for us with all of the various vendors and parties involved on the day of the wedding, making sure that it all comes together and we can spend the day enjoying each other and our families!
